Create an overview with a disability audit and strengthen your compliance

Disability Audit

Have your company's approach to accessibility, inclusion and workplace culture evaluated and optimized.

What is a disability audit – and why does it matter?

A disability audit is an analysis of your company. It helps you assess how well your company works with people, culture and accessibility. It identifies whether you’re meeting both internal goals and external legal requirements – and provides clear, actionable recommendations for improvement.

The audit is based on national and international standards, including:

  • ESG – Environmental, Social & Governance frameworks

  • EAA – European Accessibility Act

  • WCAG – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (2.2)

  • CRPD – UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

  • ISO 30415 – Diversity and Inclusion in Organisational Management

  • DS 5001 – Danish standard for equality and diversity

  • EN 17210 – Accessibility in the built environment

  • EN 17161 – Design for All – accessible products and services

  • EN 301 549 – ICT accessibility requirements

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  • Danish laws on non-discrimination, gender equality, and disability compensation

  • The European Convention on Human Rights

How does the audit work?

The audit follows six structured steps and gives you concrete insights and results:

  1. Start-up and Goal Setting: We begin by identifying your goals. Do you want to improve inclusion, accessibility, or employee wellbeing? I ensure your efforts align with the standards and laws relevant to your organisation.

  2. Data Collection: We explore your team composition, recruitment practices and work processes. Through surveys, interviews and workshops, I assess how your employees experience your workplace culture.

  3. Policy Review: We analyse your existing policies on equality, disability rights and inclusion — and compare them to national and international requirements.

  4. Accessibility Check: I assess both your physical and digital accessibility, ensuring you meet standards such as WCAG 2.2, ISO, and the EAA.

  5. Reporting and Recommendations: You receive a clear and accessible report with 1) your current status 2) compliance with key standards and 3) targeted recommendations for improvement

  6. Implementation and Follow-up: I support you in putting the recommendations into action and follow up with measurements and progress tracking.

Why invest in an audit?

An audit helps you create a more inclusive, effective, and competitive organisation. It enables you to:

  • Ensure legal compliance – Meet requirements for accessibility, non-discrimination, and disability rights

  • Strengthen ESG reporting – Provide solid data on your social and governance performance

  • Improve accessibility – Make your workplace and services more inclusive for employees and customers

  • Boost innovation and wellbeing – Diverse teams perform better and foster a healthier work culture

  • Build a stronger brand – Inclusive organisations attract more talent, customers, and investment

An investment that adds value

A disability audit is more than a snapshot – it’s a strategic tool that helps you take control of your inclusion journey and how others experience your brand.

  • For cultural institutions, it means more accessible exhibitions and digital platforms

  • For businesses, it ensures compliance and unlocks the full potential of diversity across teams and value chains
